Worship Arts

New Hope connects with God through passionate worship involving state-of-the art visual elements and contemporary music. We aim to offer a worship experience that can help anyone truly grow closer to God.

Global Action

New Hope is committed to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ not only in DeKalb County but across the world. Most notably, in 1998, New Hope pledged to evangelize an Unreached Peoples Group in Southeast Asia. Since then, we have sent missionaries several times to that group, and a revival is breaking out among them.

New Hope is also involved in local outreach in Waterloo and surrounding communities.

Pastor Diehl is passionate about equipping God’s people to do the work that God has called them to do, so if you feel like God may be calling you to the nations, be sure to connect with him.

Deacon's assistance

The Deacon's Assistance ministry is our aid ministry and is available for church members and citizens of the community who are experiencing difficult times. The ministry is administered by the church’s Deacons. Those requesting assistance should apply by clicking here (preferred method) or by coming to the church office Tuesdays between 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Deaf Ministry

The 11 a.m. Worship Service is ASL interpreted for the deaf and hearing impaired. Our fantastic interpreters are generally available to interpret classes for kids, teens, and adults upon request. American Sign Language (ASL) classes are offered periodically throughout the year and we host Deaf Chat Coffee events each month. Contact us for more information.

Scouting

New Hope charters a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Troop through the Boy Scouts of America for boys in 1st through 12th grade. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them to be good citizens, and develops personal fitness. Pastor Todd is New Hope’s representative and would be happy to connect with you.

Retirement Communities

New Hope leads a church service for residents at Betz Nursing Home and Smith Farms Retirement Community on Thursdays and Sundays, respectively. Traditional hymns are sung and a challenging sermon is delivered by a minister to provide a familiar church link for our senior citizens.
